Modern vehicles are evolving into intelligent platforms—essentially servers on wheels—equipped with a growing array of sensors and AI models. Edge AI enables advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), driver and vehicle monitoring, and in-cabin personalization, all while keeping data local to enhance privacy and responsiveness.

Applications of this technology include lidar, radar, and vision sensor processing for ADAS; gaze tracking for driver monitoring; and person detection, age estimation, and seatbelt status monitoring to improve in-cabin safety.
